Described just carefully enough to make you think these are Egyptian cotton, yet avoid actually using the word "cotton." They are 100% man-made micro-fiber. Soft & thin, they fit the mattress, are a nice color, and will work well for intended purpose. Not really well constructed. The elastic around the fitted sheet will need to be tightened up and will likely not last long as it is already too stretchy. Top sheet top hem is sewn crooked, so does not lay smooth. Despite description, top sheet top hem does not match decorative hem on pillowcases. I usually buy thick sturdy sheets and iron for hotel style, but since we live in a tourist destination, wanted a spare set that washes and dries quickly, for the next visitors. These fit the bill, but don't be deceived: if you want cotton sheets, these are not for you. Why only 2 stars? While I got what I expected, I don't appreciate even careful lies. The sheets are *not* Egyptian cotton, they are made of "micro fiber yarns" that you are supposed to compare to 1500 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets As sheets, they do their job and are light and soft enough, I guess, so 1 star for that. But don't buy them based solely on the Egyptian cotton claim.
